CCSD Music Department readies to present three concerts

— The Cazenovia Central School Music Department is busy preparing to present three concerts in the months of December and January.

“String Night” will take place on at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, and will feature all orchestral ensembles in grades 5 through 12.

The ensembles include the Middle School Orchestra, directed by Mary Coburn; Junior High Orchestra, directed by Todd Macreery; as well as the High School Orchestra and High School String Ensemble, directed by Coburn.

“Band Night” will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13 and will feature the Sixth Grade Band, directed by Kevin Johnson; Junior High Band and High School Jazz Band, directed by Kathy DiNardo; and the High School Concert Band and Wind Ensemble, directed by Johnson.

“Choral Night” will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16. Ensembles featured on Choral Night will be the Sixth Grade Chorus and Junior High Chorus, directed by Ellen Dougherty; as well as the High School Women’s Choir, Concert Choir and Chamber Choir, directed by Teresa Campbell.

All concerts are free, and the public is encouraged to attend.
