To the editor:
It was with deep concern that we read your article of proposed plans for changes in the interior of the Gothic Cottage in Cazenovia. This is a beautiful, historic building and it should be left in its original state. It would be much more appropriate to save this building as a historical site for residents and visitors of Cazenovia.
Surely there are even more alternatives than your article discussed for placement of town offices that will service the public’s needs bettering the future. Destroying the interior of a historical Victorian home will be a very poor plan indeed.
We hope the people involved in this project will investigate more possible alternatives so the Gothic Cottage can be saved for future generations.
